Questions
The things people ask before their first claim.
Someone launched a coin for my handle. Is that allowed?
Yes. Launching is permissionless. What is not permissionless is the vault: only a sign-in from the account it was launched for can open it. The fees are yours whether or not you asked for the coin.
Do I need a wallet or any crypto to start?
To launch a coin, yes: a Solana wallet with a little SOL for the network’s rent and fees. To open a vault, no: you sign in, name any address, and Socialpad pays the fees.
Which accounts can open a vault?
X, Reddit, GitHub, Twitch and YouTube. LinkedIn can sign in and link to your account, but its sign-in does not reveal a profile handle, so it cannot prove a coin is yours yet. Instagram is coming.
I am outside the US. What can I do?
Everything. Launch, trade, and open your vault to any wallet, from anywhere. X Money delivery, when it opens, will be US-only because X Money is.
Can I open just part of the vault?
No. Opening a vault empties it completely to the address you name. It starts filling again with the next trade.
What if I rename one of my accounts?
The vault belongs to the handle it was launched for, not to you as a person. If you rename, the old handle’s claim stays with whoever holds that handle next. Open your vault before you rename.
Can Socialpad take the money out of my vault?
Socialpad’s server holds the vault key, so technically it could; the rule it applies is that a vault pays only the address named by a valid sign-in for one of its accounts, or, after 30 days without a claim and 14 days of public notice, the treasury. Trust model says what that means and what would change it.
Is the coin on pump.fun too?
Yes. It is a normal pump.fun coin, at pump.fun/coin/<mint>, and trades there exactly as it does here. Its creator is the vault, wherever the trade happens.
What happens when the curve fills?
The coin graduates: pump.fun moves liquidity to PumpSwap and the curve closes. PumpSwap charges the same creator fee on the pool, so trades there keep filling the vault.
Is any of this financial advice?
No. Coins are volatile and a vault can stay empty. Socialpad is a way for fees to reach the name they were traded under; it is not a recommendation to trade anything.
